Hello friends,

I hope you're having a wonderful week so far ~ if not, thankfully the weekend is just a hop, skip and a jump away!

If you like yellow, you're going to LOVE Marilyn and Jason's modern and elegant winery wedding.

The unusual combination of sunshine yellow bridesmaids dresses, light grey suits and buttery yellow florals with pretty pink accents is utterly gorgeous.

As are the various DIY details the couple and their family incorporated into their day. They designed their own invites, Marilyn's dad created small log cutoffs for the table number holders and Marilyn's mum made the macaroon favours.

Marilyn, is a vision in her Monique Lhuillier wedding gown paired with a DIY sparkly sash, a side swept, twisted ponytail and fresh faced make up to let her beautiful freckles shine through.

Can you guess what song she walked down the aisle to?* (answer below)

* A string quartet rendition of Coldplay's ‘Yellow'!

There is something magical about the golden California light captured by Carlie Statsky Photography in these images, don't you think?

Many thanks to Carlie for brightening up our Thursday.

So tell me, are you having an unusual colour palette for your wedding? I'd love to hear your colour combos!
