Monday morning just got glamourous…

If, like me, you have a penchant for chic, classic style and timeless glamour, you are going to love Beverly Lister's 2012 Wedding Dress Collection.

The thing I love most about this collection is that Beverly Lister has really considered brides who want something a little different to the usual strapless wedding dress. I knew from the moment I started sketching my ‘dream wedding dress' that I wanted straps but I was greeted by a sea of strapless dresses in every bridal shop I went to!

While strapless styles have an enduring appeal, more and more brides that visit my boutique have been asking for something different.  Whether it be a sleeve, boat neck or jacket, I have tried to introduce an elegant alternative to the strapless bodice ~ Beverly Lister

Cap Sleeved Wedding Dresses

As a cap sleeved bride myself, I have fallen head over heels for Bouquet and Juliet.

An empire line gown in delicate beaded Chantilly lace inspired by Audrey Hepburn.

Juliet's pretty puffed sleeves and rose lace are so romantic ~ perfect for your Romeo!

60s Style Wedding Dresses & Cover Ups

Beverly Lister describes her 2012 collection as being ‘inspired by the elegance of 1960's fashion, where vintage meets glamour,  Audrey Hepburn meets Doris Day.'

The pretty bow belts nip in waists perfectly ~ even if you're not blessed with a tiny 1960s Mad Men style waist. While Beverly Lister's vintage inspired jackets are perfectly paired with her 60s, full skirted strapless dresses.

You can see how the beautiful, strapless Primrose gown below is utterly transformed with the addition of the boat neck, lace jacket.

A box pleated skirt and roll collar jacket make a strong sixties statement. Perfect for traditional church wedding ceremonies {as some churches still request that brides cover their shoulders!}

A classic boatneck gown for a chic, Doris Day style silhouette ~ I adore that bow veil teamed with the ‘bride's' full fringe and rogue curl too!

Stunning Strapless Dresses

Sara and Eliza, below, are simple, strapless dress perfection with intricate lace bodices and satin skirts.

This delicate lace bolero is the perfect cover up for a winter wedding and chunky statement pearls with a sweetheart neckline are always a winner in my book…

So the big question is, are you a strapless or a sleeves kind of bride?

Or maybe, like Beverly Lister's 2012 collection, you're a bit of both!
