Okay trendsetters, we have more bridal fashion week insight to share with you! It is our pleasure to introduce you to ten wedding dress designers that are about to fill your feeds & steal your hearts.

Yesterday, we chatted about our favorite new trends that hit the runways last week in New York City, and we would be remiss if we didn’t gush about the talented creators of so many of these new wedding dress designs.

At Bridal Musings, we love up-and-comers and indie bridal houses for so many important reasons. Not only are they often at the forefront of cutting-edge design, but smaller fashion houses have a better ability to handmake their gowns in-house, pay closer attention to the sourcing of their fabrics and offer you a dress that your friends haven’t worn yet.

From modern, cool-bride creatives to the romantic gals sourcing & designing the prettiest new lace motifs – we’ve rounded up some of our favorite new (and long-time) wedding dress designers that we think should be ‘the next big thing’ in the bridal world.

L. Wells Bridal

Vintage loving brides – L.Wells Bridal is here to make your retro dreams come true!

Inspired by the 1970s film ‘3 Women’, L.Wells Bridal’s new collection transports us to a dusty desert town in California – a vintage bride’s dream. Airy light fabrics, delightful flutter sleeves, sweet details on loose, 1970s silhouettes – her latest gowns give off a dreamy glow. We can see these dresses frolicking through a spring wildflower bloom or grove of Mohave Desert Joshua Tress.

To add to the intrigue, designer Lauren has added some eye-catching minis meant to be worn before, after or hey – on your wedding day! Structured, retro bows adorn an adorable lace jacket. A sexy crop top pairs with the tiniest tulle skirt.

Her alternative wears even include a lavender piece – helping us declare in our bridal fashion week trend report that lavender is the new blush. We even hear that L. Wells Bridal lingerie is soon to come!

The Law Bridal

Cool brides rejoice, The Law Bridal returns this season with even more clean bridal masterpieces.

Handmade in Philly in unique & luxurious fabrics sourced with incredible care, The Law Bridal’s wedding dresses push the boundaries of modern wedding dress design. While many contemporary, commercial designers play it safe with conventional silhouettes, Megan creates new ones with architectural lines & intriguing new top & bottom pairings.

For the indecisive bride, The Law Bridal’s gowns are a godsend. Nearly every piece in her new collection (and past!) can be worn in a variety of ways and styled with so many cool separate pieces. Her separates include avant-garde sashes, sheer turtleneck overlays, winter wedding-ready coats, cool capelets & luxurious shawls – just to name a few.

It was pure joy to watch designer Megan style, style and restyle one gown into so many different looks – giving brides a fresh feeling for every event of their wedding day.

Emily Kotarski Bridal

Romantic brides, we have an absolute treat for you: meet Emily Kotarski, your new bridal bestie.

Designing in charming Charleston, South Carolina, Emily’s gowns feature unique, stunning details for the classic bride looking for something one-of-a-kind. In her new ‘Chateau Collection’, you’ll find eye-catching shoulder bows adorning dramatic ball gowns, custom vine & leaf motifs on romantic lace gowns and embellished flutter sleeves that will charm just about any modern lady.

We fell particularly in love with one of her removable tops (paired well with so many of her gowns!) that feature one of this season’s ‘trend alerts’ – the dramatic & airy blouson sleeves.

Jurgita Bridal

Lithuanian designer Jurgita Bridal knows how to sparkle!

Squealing with glee at every gown in the room, it was a joy to watch Jurgita Bridal’s dresses glimmer in the light passing through her Manhattan hotel window. The gowns feature incredible attention to detail – intricate beading & the tiniest sparkles to help catch light as you glide down the aisle and twirl through the night.

There’s something ‘cool’ & a bit boho about her gowns – with modern silhouettes & upscale vibes, her sparkling wonders are for the fashion goddess, not the old-school princess.
