Together, both of Galia Lahav’s newest wedding dress collections are brilliant in their filtered colors, unique sparkle embellishments, and luxuriously draped fabrics. The Fancy White collection (we featured recently here) offers oversized elements like skirts and bows to wrap us in boldly designed silhouettes. The softer, yet just as glittery Gala IX collection, draws inspiration from the sea and the irresistible allure of the ocean, giving us a bit of mermaid-inspired bridal style.

As if it were possible, we decided to choose our very favorite gowns from this season’s 2020 collections – and oh, are they brilliant.

Our favorite details from both the Gala IX and Fancy White collection is the draped and shimmering fabrics.

From Gala IX we can feel the essence of the ocean-inspired collection. A long-sleeved style, G-410 (in our cover photo) has a wrapped skirt and a mile-high slit doused in elegant silver beaded embroidery. G-403 (pictured below) sparkles in reflective sequined netting that drapes along the body as effortlessly as the ocean’s waves. And lastly, another silver style, G-402 (pictured above) offers a bold V-neck plunge balanced by a unique soft drape along the back. Dare I say it? We’re ready to take the plunge.

The Fancy White collection boasts Ella (pictured above), adorned in delicate lace details along an embellished bodice and the most radiant silver netting for a glamorous attitude. Meghan (pictured below) shows off a lustrous organza puff-sleeved coat as a second look, worn over an intricately beaded ballgown scattered in pearls. But perhaps the most avant-garde ballgown of the collection, Ruth (next to our stylist tips), celebrates oversized florals decorated in clear sparkling beads, and a dreamy lavender-toned lining filtered through layers of silk and tulle. A spectrum of hypnotic metallics and delicate blushes mimic kaleidoscopic scales of stunning sea creatures and the hues of precious coral and underwater flora. Delicate beading and exquisite sequins resemble droplets of water reflecting dazzling sun rays or a ship’s beacon in the romantic moonlight. Beguiling shoulder-baring bodices and body-contouring waistlines conjure up the silhouette of a spellbinding mermaid. Soft tulle layers on A-line skirting and flowing sleeves create powerful and rapturous movement — as if one is swimming freely in the deep blue ripples and waves.
