“Actually, Paris is most beautiful in the rain” Lea Seydoux’s character tells Owen Wilson’s as they romantically meet by happenstance on a stormy bridge across the Seine.
Owen Wilson’s protagonist in Midnight in Paris (always and forever one of my favorite films) idealized Paris, in the 1920s, in the rain as the ideal time and place to be – and we can’t help but agree. Having lived in Paris many-a-seasons, I can tell you that nothing is more romantic than a Summer stroll through rainy Paris, much like this elopement inspiration from Christine Grace Photography.
As she so aptly puts it, couples from around the world flock to the City of Love every year to elope, and who could blame them? The gorgeous city streets, with landmarks aplenty, the endless choices for romantic dinners and drinks & unmatched fashion…I could go on and on.
The best part is, you don’t have to lament if your wedding-day forecast is looking grim – as seen here, Paris in the rain provides empty space for those gorgeous wedding portraits.
