Photographed by the very talented Unveiled Radiance Photography, this intimate Switzerland wedding is filled with the whimsical details one would hope from high in the Swiss mountaintops. Imagine colorful wildflowers, a twirl-worthy ballgown & our bride & groom frolicking through alpine forests.

The day looked truly spectacular, after dressing in her blush pink Hayley Paige gown, Arielle & Ryne shared an adorable first look outside their Swiss chalet then bought tickets to traverse up to their mountaintop “I dos”. Aside a turquoise blue lake with close friends, the couple made it official, popped the champagne & hopped in a canoe for some stunning mountain portraits.

Our Love Story

In anesthesia school, our “downtime” was spent on Saturday mornings. We would play GroupLove pandora radio and he would cook us breakfast. We would dance around and just forget about the stresses of school for a few hours. After school, with life and everything going on, we quit having our relaxed Saturday mornings together as often.

So the week of December 3, 2018, we didn’t have much going on and planned for our fun Saturday morning of music and breakfast. Before Ryne served me my homemade pancakes, eggs, and bacon (I should have known something was going on because we only cook pancakes on special occasions lol), he said very seriously that he had one question to ask me before we ate.

My heart sunk, having no clue what he was about to ask. Immediately after, I had tears of joy as he got down on his knee and asked me to spend forever with him! Unfortunately, I could barely eat my breakfast I was so excited!

The Dress & Attire

As soon as we started planning our wedding, I knew I had to have a blush pink dress. After internet surfing, I knew I had to have a Hayley Paige gown. When I found the Chandon gown, it was a given that it was for me. Hayley Paige named this gown after champagne, which happens to be my favorite drink. The second I put it on, I knew it absolutely was the one. It completely embodies my personality and the whimsical fairytale we were planning. It is the most gorgeous dress and I truly felt like a princess bride.

My husband is a vision in blue, so I knew I wanted a blue suit for him. I felt like a blush bowtie would just really pull it all together. Add our hiking shoes and it was the perfect Swiss all’s attire!!

Favorite Moments

I don’t even know where to begin! The entire day was absolutely perfect – well besides the fact that we were running late!

When Ryne first saw me in my dress, that was only the second time I’ve ever seen him cry. I honestly don’t know how I kept it together in that moment. At this point, it finally hit me that I was about to marry my best friend in the most beautiful place I’d ever seen.

After our “first look” and drive to the town, we rode a gondola up the mountain – both scary yet beautiful! The hike down to the lake was just so surreal. I felt like I was dreaming. Here we are, in hiking boots and a suit and a big ball gown. It was a sight to see!

The ceremony was absolutely perfect! Our awesome photographer took charge to make sure we had the most beautiful backdrop. I still can’t get over it looking back at pictures. We decided to write our own vows; and although I stressed too much about it, I’m so glad we did. It made the experience that much more memorable and meaningful.

After the Ceremony

After we exchanged our vows, popped champagne (we had Moët and Chandon since my dress name is Chandon), and cut the delicious cake, Ryne and I were able to take a little time to ourselves and canoe around the lake. Being in that moment with him, taking in the scenery right after we made our forever promises to each other – that’s a moment I’ll never forget.

This once in a fairytale kind-of-day; from the sunlight reflections over turquoise lake waters, the echoes of popped champagne in the mountainside, and the late-night pizza dinner shared with their closest friends.

The three days of epic adventuring through the Swiss Alps with Arielle & Ryan, and their amazing close-knit group of friends, were the kind of days you never want to forget. Arielle & Ryne wanted an intimate day, exactly created by them and uniquely portraying of their love in every detail big and small.

Advice to Other Couples

Do what you want- not what everyone else thinks you need to do! Unfortunately, our parents couldn’t come to our wedding due to flights, etc. but we knew that’s how we wanted to commit our lives to one another. So we did! And we would do it over a million times. Thankfully we have amazing pictures and video so that our family could relive the memories with us and not feel like they missed out on everything!

The Honeymoon

We did it a little backward – we spent the week in Italy prior to meeting our friends in Switzerland for the ceremony! We flew into Milan and stayed in a little Airbnb. We took a day to visit Lake Como, saw The Last Supper, and explored the Duomo and Galleria. Then we took a train to Venice where we stayed at a beautiful hotel. We took a gondola ride and explored the beautiful city for 3 days. One of those nights, we took a cooking class with Lorezo Chef in Venice. It was so much fun!
