Earlier this year I featured David Fielden's previous bridal collection as I loved his unique and refreshing use of colour ~ pastel grey, blue and blush pink wedding dresses, no less. Thanks to David, and other forward thinking wedding dress designers such as Vera Wang, coloured wedding dresses are becoming more and more popular for brides.
When I saw photos from David Fielden's 2012 Sposa Bridal Collection catwalk show in Milan I was blown away by how creative and bold his show and dresses were (plus his daring choice of lace skull cap accessory). His gowns are delicate and striking at the same time, consisting of modern yet beautifully feminine silhouettes. David Fielden certainly thinks outside the wedding box!
Here's what David had to say about his collection:
My collection is based on mixing fabrics and textures in bold shapes, this is an ongoing philosophy of my company. This season for my fashion show I offset this against a backdrop of urban destruction contrasting with the ethereal quality of the dresses against the hard reality of living in our modern society.
David Fielden has launched a promo video to coincide with the launch of his new 2012 website. It is unique, creative and somewhat unsettling but well worth a watch for the gorgeous wedding gowns!
David explores the idea that even though we are living in an intransigent time with world affairs affecting our everyday decisions, he wanted to capture the feeling that love will always win out.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the collection and video…does it make you want to buy his wedding dresses?
I think David Fielden's wedding dresses are stunning. I'm just not sure I'll ever be a fan of lace skull caps!
