If living in the Rose City for the last ten months has taught me anything, it’s that Portland wedding florists & floral designers mean business.

Scroll through my Instagram feed on any given day and you’ll find a floral explosion. Spring blossoms included fields of tulips, bundles of hydrangea, sunny daffodils & billowing peonies. Now in the heart of summer, jaw-dropping dahlias, marigolds, a rainbow of zinnias and of course – our beloved roses – have truly taken over.

Perhaps its the nickname that has influenced such a “floral culture” in this gorgeously green & florally lush city – never have I lived in a place (outside of the UK) that dedicated more time & love to its gardens.

But you don’t have to live here to take massive inspiration from these incredible floral artists. Portland wedding florists are winning Instagram right now for a reason: they bring ideas & inspiration to the masses, influencing brides, grooms & other designers across the globe.

Beyond the sheer beauty of these designers’ arrangements, a number of Portland florists featured below have campaigned for more sustainable growing & purchasing. What does that mean exactly? The biggest issue at hand: using local, seasonal flowers to cut down carbon emissions from shipping across the globe. But other designers (like Portlands first sustainably certified florist, Coy & Co) go further swearing off things like floral foam, plastics & anything that lacks a reusable purpose to cut down on the traditional mass of trash.

Scroll through our list of Portland florists to fill your Instagram feed with flowers, we’re certain you’ll want to give a few (or all!) a follow. And if you happen to live in Portland, consider ordering curbside delivery from one of these talented artists.
