Happy end of 2020! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas on Friday and perhaps you’re joining us today thanks to a little ring box under the tree? We’re all cheers’ing with mimosas in your honor!

If you’re like me, your first exciting order of business is: dress shopping! And to help start your search, we’ve rounded up the 10 best wedding dresses as seen in Bridal Musings' real weddings & styled shoots this year.

This year we colorful gowns continued to take over with blush gowns truly the mainstream and whimsical blue dresses becoming ‘the thing'.

Statement sleeves – from airy, organza blouson styles to dramatic puff sleeves – went from a thing of the 80s past to modern beauty. We have our fingers crossed ‘fun sleeves' stick around for 2021.

Designers like The LAW Bridal showed us that modern, minimalist bridal didn't have to be boring, and iconic fashion houses like Amsale married their classic sensibility with modern desire (aka, give us more micro-pleated tulle & ruffles, please!)

So here are our 10 favorite wedding dresses as seen on Bridal Musings (in no particular order)…

1. Galia Lahav

Bride Anna wore four stunning wedding dresses to her Spanish destination wedding (which you have to see!), but it's this Galia Lahav gown that really wins the day for us.

2. HoneyMoon Italia

Encapsulating our two wishes for 2020 bridalwear – ruffles & color – this whimsical blush HoneyMoon Italia gown finds itself on the top of our minds & top of the Italian alps.

3. The LAW Bridal

Making modern, minimalist bridal far more of a statement, The LAW Bridal wowed us with this silk gown fluttering in the desert wind.

4. Amsale

Like we said, layers of tulle captured our attention in 2020, and we can't deny the iconic beauty of this lightly ruffled Amsale ballgown featured in this classic shoot.

5. Carla Zampatti

What happens when two streetwear designers elope in Vegas? Incredible fashion of course! And while Van would top our best-dressed grooms list, our bride is the pinnacle of 2020 #coolbride wearing this shoulder-bearing Carla Zampatti gown featuring that oh-so-trendy cape.

6. Bo & Luca

Who better of a designer to match the free-spirit of evolving desert dunes than Bo & Luca? It's not just the tantalizing ruffles, embroidery & bridal separate style of this gown that has us enchanted, but rather how perfectly matched to the Emirati desert this ensemble is.

7. Designed by the Bride

Poofy sleeves & a hand-painted train, Bride Pauline was pre-trending with her incredible wedding dress she custom-designed & painted herself. We had to show two photos from her Venice wedding to display the remarkable beauty of this wedding dress.

8. Ekta Solanki

We were lucky enough to feature a number of South Asian weddings & editorials this year, and this lavishly embroidered red & gold Ekta Solanki sari & veil will stay in our minds long after 2020 has passed (you should see her blush bridal sari, too!)

9. BERTA

While 2020 may have brought us the Microwedding & the Minimony, that's no reason a bride can't go for big vibes with her wedding dress. This BERTA gown modeled by Miss Universe Germany has all the best kind of drama we hope to come in 2021.

10. Costarellos

It probably wouldn't be a true Bridal Musings best dress list if we didn't find ourselves organically including a couture Costarellos gown. This Aegean blue gown found on the cliffs of Greece features all of our favorite trends of 2020: airy statement sleeves, unique embroidery, ruffles & of course, color.
