It’s no secret that we have all the heart eyes for edgy rock-n-roll brides over here at Bridal Musings. (Hey, Christina!) There’s just something so fun about seeing a confident bride willing to defy expectations in favor of a truly one-of-a-kind statement piece.

For that reason and more, we’re falling head over platform heels for Loulette Bride’s new Gold Dust Womxn wedding dress collection. Inspired by fierce, fearless, iconic womxn in rock and roll, featuring liquid metallics, funky textures, sparkling silks, and unique silhouettes, it’s safe to say we can’t get enough of these edgy gowns.

While it’s impossible for us to pick a favorite in the collection, an avant-garde bride might love the custom fringe on the Bjork dress. What We Love Loulette Bride

This stunning collection isn’t the only thing that sets Loulette apart these days — responsibility is a driving value for the brand, and frankly, that’s pretty important to us too!

For every dress sold, Loulette plants a tree in that bride’s name with One Tree Planted. Loulette uses recycled poly lining made from recycled PET plastic bottles and natural fabrics like cotton, silk, and linen. All of their gowns are made to order, eliminating excess inventory. They thoughtfully design and pattern their pieces to create as little waste as possible, and all fabric scraps are recycled with Fab Scrap.

But why stop there? Loulette takes responsibility even further by picking a new charity to donate a portion of sales to each season. (This season, it’s Pretty Brown Girl). They’ve also launched the West Street Wedding Collective Mentorship Program — a free program for students of color to work on their creative projects with Brooklyn-based industry experts.
