There is something so dreamy and romantic about lace dresses, don't you think?
I may be a little biased as my own wedding dress was lace. During my dress hunt I quickly discovered that most of my friends and family fell into either ‘Team Lace' or ‘Team Silk'.
My mum (Team Silk) wasn't too keen when I tried on a lace gown at my first ever wedding dress appointment ~ she said I looked like I was ‘wearing a pair of net curtains'!
Despite my mum's initial reservations I was, and still am, most definitely in ‘Team Lace'. So when I saw this beautifully styled inspiration shoot by a talented team of UK wedding industry creatives featuring FOUR exquisite lace dresses, I just had to share it!
This is for all of my fellow lace loving brides ~ feast your eyes on this collection of high neck, full skirted, strapless, belted, be-ribboned, slim fitting, ruffly, corded and delicate lace wedding dresses!
Here's the lovely Natasha of Natasha Jane Bridal Headbands with a little more about the shoot:
The idea behind the shoot was to create a lacey, vintage inspired theme which showed many styles of lace dresses. We wanted to show the Council House in Birmingham to its best as not many people realise you can actually have your wedding ceremony there and take advantage of the glorious interiors it has.
We wanted to shoot to be very pretty, delicate and feminine, so the colours were very muted with little hints of blush pink and natural green foliage. I was blown away by the amount of flowers The Flower Centre brought for the shoot, each bouquet was different and there were also some loose flowers for the table.
The papercut was so pretty – I wanted to keep it so much, Kyleigh of Kyleighs Papercuts can either laser cut or cut messages by hand so they are a perfect wedding gift!
So are you in ‘Team Lace' too? If so, which dress is your favourite?
FYI mine is the slim fitting sweetheart neckline gown ~ it's perfect for brides to show off their gorgeous curves!
Thanks to the wonderful team behind this shoot for sharing the cute cakes, fabulous florals, heavenly headbands, pretty parasols, fantastic photography and, of course, a whole lot of lace loveliness!
