We don't post too many celebrity weddings on the blog. But, I promise you, famous nuptials are always a hot topic at the Bridal Musings watercooler.

Often, we find ourselves bored with the simple, traditional gowns that seem to be the overwhelming pick of celebrity brides. But, not this morning. When our Fashion Editor, Christina, sent the Instagram post from model & heiress Ivy Getty's San Francisco wedding, I practically keeled over in fashion-girl cardiac arrest.

Designer John Galliano, currently Creative Director of French fashion house Maison Margiela – and previously at the helm of Givenchy and Christian Dior – created (at least) two incredible looks for the model's wedding day. The ceremony dress earns a spot in our one-day-imagined “Best Wedding Dresses of All Time: A Met Museum Exhibit”. A mosaic pattern of mirrors delicately creates a barely-there sheath gown that dazzles in San Francisco's ornate City Hall. The look is iconic.

Then, for the reception gown, we're gifted gossamer nude lace with a vintage flair. The high neck is wholly on trend for 2021 brides, but the silhouette says the 1920s. The ethereal wedding dress is an instant reminder of…
