Hello lovelies,
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend so far.
It's been my handsome husband's 30th birthday celebrations this weekend and I planned a surprise ping pong party for him! He used to play at quite a high level as a kid so it seemed perfect (and something a bit different).
I spent the night before DIYing a bunch of crinkly, crepe paper gold and silver streamers to use as decor and creating huge card numbers covered in photos of Zee throughout his life (inspired by this idea from Martha Stewart).
My make shift ping pong table was soon repurposed for the all American classic, beer pong, then we went for a spot of shisha and cheesy dancing in town. It was an awesome night (if I do say so myself!)

So as you can see, my big 30 is not quite as pretty or perfectly styled as Martha Stewart's version but Zee loved it and so did our friends. Besides, whose life (or wedding) is ever as perfect as a Martha Stewart photo shoot?!
On Monday, Zee's actual birthday, we're heading to the swanky W Hotel for dinner and a luxurious overnight stay then we're off to a mystery location…
You see, I did something a bit wild and spontaneous and booked a last minute holiday ~ Zee has absolutely no idea where we're going. It's all rather exciting! I'll fill you in on the destination once he sees those plane/train/boat tickets in his birthday card.
Despite the fact that we've done quite a lot of travelling this year, mainly back and forth between San Francisco and London, we haven't actually had a proper, ‘shut the laptops, switch off the mobiles and just breathe' kind of holiday and let me tell you we are both SO ready for one.

So while I'm away (trying my hardest to keep my laptop shut) you can expect short and sweet installments of gorgeous wedding films from some truly talented videographers all this week. As of tomorrow it's officially The Bridal Musings Film Week.
