The talented folks at Live View Studios not only took these beautiful photos, they also described Molly and Bill's wedding so perfectly I don't think I could possibly do their write up justice!
After all, they were there to capture every beautiful moment and darling rustic detail. So I'm going to kick up my heels (which sadly, aren't half as pretty as Molly's fushia Kate Spade pair!) and soak up the loveliness. Care to join me?
From their candlelit boat get away, to their reception filled with southern comfort food, to the touches of mint & pastel pink, and burlap & gingham, Molly and Bill's wedding was a unique celebration of their love for each other, for southern living, and for the area that holds a special place in their heart, North Carolina's high country.
The Dress & The Venues
Wearing fuchsia Kate Spade heels and a gorgeous Angelina Faccenda gown, Molly got ready for the day alongside her girls, who all wore minty green Donna Morgan dresses. Then she and Bill were married in Crossnore Presbyterian church, a historic stone church nestled among the mountains. Their reception was held at The Camp at Eseeola Lodge, a lovely rustic venue in Linville with Grandfather Mountain looking on.
Florals & Decor
The talented ladies of Viva L' Event created the gorgeous florals for the wedding incorporating Molly's pastel color palette, with antique roses, hydrangea, and pale pink peonies. A burlap curtain created a beautiful entrance to the pavilion, and tables were decked out in green gingham linens with burlap runners, as well as burlap-style linens with vintage ivory doilies.
A Table For Two
During cocktail hour, Molly and Bill had their own private (and beautifully decorated!) table set up in the boathouse, where they spent some time together during cocktail hour.
Southern Food
Traditional southern comfort food was a very important element of their wedding. Fried chicken, a biscuit bar with various jellies, fried green tomatoes, shrimp & grits, cornbread and sweet tea were the main elements of this buffet-style feast. The cake and cupcakes were homemade, using Molly's mom's special recipe. The band kept guests entertained and on their feet all night long.
A Unique Candlelit Getaway
Following their evening of celebrating, the happy couple bid their guests farewell from a candlelit rowboat that took them across Lake Kawahna.We felt like Molly and Bill's summertime wedding epitomized what southern weddings are all about: good food, lots of family love, laughter, and togetherness.
