A fresh and fun colour palette of yellow and grey, pin wheels-a-plenty and a whole lot of love abounds in Elizabeth and Eric's sunny California nuptials.

There are so many sweet and personal details to be inspired by – including the way they incorporated their double E initials throughout the stationery and even had a cute ‘e & e' cake topper.

I love Elizabeth's loose side chignon hairstyle adorned with a delicate, sparkly headband and a light as air fingertip veil. While the DIY pin wheel altar decor, shoes clips and bouts for the boys are all kinds of awesome!

 The Venue

When we first began planning the wedding we knew we wanted to have a casual ceremony with a great after party. When looking for a location, we wanted something different from the typical ballroom, we found Coto Valley Country Club and loved the rustic natural feeling, with the beautiful outdoors, large bars, and oversized fireplaces, it was perfect.

 The Ceremony

It was also important to us to have our families a part of the wedding, Eric has his two brothers as groomsmen, my sister was my maid of honor, two of my brothers were the musicians for the ceremony, and my youngest brother was our officiant.

 Bridal Attire

Knowing that we wanted to keep it casual we choose a grey suit for Eric, grey pants for the groomsman and the girls choose their own grey dresses. I wanted the main colors of the wedding to be white and grey with pops of mustard yellow, I was looking for a clean, simple, spring pallet.

 Decor & Details

In the beginning of the planning I knew that I wanted the wedding to be a reflection of us as a couple; everything from the invitations to our table numbers (all of which I designed). I was going to use e&e everywhere I could.

On the mantle above the large fireplaces I framed pictures of us and quotes from our favorite songs. At the cocktail tables we put out our favorite snacks for people to enjoy along with the passed hors d'oeuvre. The snacks (gardettos and Chex Mix Muddy Buddies) were “His & Hers” with pictures of us as babies on each one. Our table numbers where each year that we had known each other, and each number had a timeline on the back of important things that happened to us each year.

 Pretty Pinwheels

I had seen a picture of pinwheels used at a wedding and fell in love and knew that this would be my major design element of the wedding. This is also where I got the inspiration for the groomsman boutonnieres; I sewed the pinwheels to match the rest of the wedding. I used the same pinwheels for my shoes and for the corsages for the mothers/grandmothers.

 Wedding Vendors

The wedding was really a collection of fun projects and amazing vendors, the wedding would not have been as much fun if we had not worked with such amazing people.

Congratulations Elizabeth and Eric! Thanks for sharing your special day with us.

Okay who else is obsessed with that pinwheel arch?!
