This engagement shoot was captured beautifully by Laura of Laura Murray Photography.

{Whose dreamy photography I just can't get enough of! }

The couple, Matt and Melissa, had been in a long distance relationship for two years but despite 2000 miles between them and many plane journeys, they made it work and are now happily married. I love how they incorporated a few personal items to add meaning to their engagement shoot, including a vintage globe.

Laura explains: The globe represents their long distance travels to see each other.  And, Melissa and Matt are having cupcakes at their wedding instead of traditional wedding cake- we threw a few of those into the photoshoot as well just for fun!

I like their style…any excuse to devour pretty cupcakes!

Oh so pretty and natural! {That last black and white image makes my heart sing!}

It just goes to show that you don't need reams of props and a stylist on hand to get gorgeous and meaningful engagement photos.

Having Laura take your photos would help too! Check out her website and blog to see more of her stunning photography.

So…what props will you/did you use on your engagement shoot, if any?
