If you're a regular reader of Bridal Musings, you'll know by now that we're pretty big fans of all things exotic.
Just a couple of months ago, we waxed lyrical about our love for the current tropicana wedding trend.
But to be honest, we were never really sure how, or if, a wedding themed on exotic fruits, palm trees, cocktails and flamingos, could be pulled off in less-than-balmy climes.
Until we saw this shoot…
Captured by Hannah McClune Photography and created by a talented collection of Berkshire wedding vendors, this tropical wedding inspiration shoot shows that with some bright blooms, plenty of pineapples and clever design, you don't need to jet off to Fiji, Hawaii or the Caribbean to have a cabana vibe to your big day.
Scroll down to be inspired to create your very own paradise wedding, but first up, hear more about the idea behind the shoot from the lovely Hannah McClune…
From the Photographer
Who doesn’t love a destination wedding? Sandy beaches, palm trees and cocktails all spring to mind. However we know its not an option for everyone, so decided to create a beautiful wedding with a tropical feel that’s easy to re-create closer to home.
The beautiful Stoke Place was the perfect venue, with its wall of butterflies, tropical leaf wallpaper and very own elephant!
The styling was relaxed and fun with an emphasis on bright colours, plenty of ribbon and super cute pineapples, for just a dash of kitsch.
The amazing stationery suite by Swoon at the Moon included everything needed from invites to on the day paperie as well as some beautifully decorated shell straws and personalised coasters to help give the tropical feel.
The bouquet by Tarnia Williams used plenty of glossy tropical leaves and a mix of bright flowers including, mini pineapples (ananas), pink cala lilies, orange crocosmia and orchids.
The groomsmen’s suits were styled by Stress 3 Hire using blue suits with a variety of accessories in pink, teal and coral including a beautiful folded rose pocket square.
The four tier embossed cake was a vision in white by Melissa Woodland Cakes.
It was adorned with a mix of brightly coloured ribbons and a gold pineapple and looked right at home in front of the ribbon backdrop too.
The gold drinks trolley was a perfect spot to display jam jars so guests could find their personalised jar and help themselves to fresh lemonade.
Matching mini jam jars were also personalised, both by Panda and Pip, and made great favours with brightly coloured sweets.
The table was styled with a grass tablecloth and flower filled pineapple vase.
White china was a neutral backdrop for the giant leaves and bright napkins with coloured ribbon decoration.
Isn't it fun! The florals and stationery really make it! Would you consider trying a tropical theme for your big day?
Thanks so much to Hannah McClune Photography and the rest of these creative vendors for sharing their exotic inspiration shoot with us.
