Urban couples looking for a hopelessly romantic wedding: We think you’re going to fall hard for this one.
We love the idea of a bare, warehouse or studio bash in the city, but we’re also shamelessly smitten with the soft hues, rustic textures, and delicate blooms of a countryside wedding.
And this wedding inspiration shoot, is the best of both…
Photographed by the amazing Jess Petrie, styled by the creative Nina Marika, and harnessing the talents of some of the North of England’s most exciting wedding vendors, it’s laced with ideas for beautiful, elegant weddings with a cool, raw backdrop.
From the prettiest peachy bridal make-up, to gorgeous, modern hair inspiration, (look out for some seriously stunning headpieces!) and stunning Claire Pettibone wedding dresses to fine art styling throughout, (the calligraphy, the cake, the paper flowers and the bouquet are just beautiful) – there is not one thing about this shoot we don’t love.
Soft and delicate styling, with a rough-around-the-edges backdrop? Perfection, in our book.
Scroll down to swoon over this fab shoot, but first up, we’ll pass you over to the team behind it to tell us a little bit more about their inspiration.
The concept behind ‘conceptual elegance’ draws on our observations of the beauty of the natural world creeping into urban and industrial settings.
Lots of handcrafted elements were used, from botanical illustrations as reference to create the flowers and foliage on the cake, which are all made by hand, glitter dipped feather garlands, hand cut paper flowers, and beautiful white on grey calligraphy,
An installation created by nature brings a unique and special magic woven throughout, we had hints of travel and family heirlooms to give a sense of timeless elegance.
Isn’t it beautiful? I really like the tablescaping with those single candles and foliage, and the florals are just the most lovely colours too, don’t you think?
