You know we have a very special place in our hearts for destination weddings. We're always endlessly impressed by what couples can pull off when they're planning their weddings from afar.
Even with the help of the most skilled planner, and most talented vendors, it can be difficult to create a day that feels authentic, romantic and fun.
But Cristian & Melania's beach wedding in Greece, was just that, and then some.
And it was captured, so beautifully, by Elias Kordelakos Photography, one of the most renowned wedding photographers in Greece, and styled by leading event planners, RockPaperScissors.
With a backdrop overlooking the Ionian Sea, in the pretty Athens suburb of Glyfada, Cristian & Melania got married at Septem private beach club.
Their wedding on the sand was a personal and intimate affair, with guests welling up as Cristian walked his beaming mother down the aisle, and Melania arrived on horseback, in her stunning backless Pronovias wedding dress.
And afterwards, they partied long after sunset, with a gorgeous seaside reception decked out in the prettiest blooms, and most elegant decor.

Our Love Story
We met in Zurich (our hometown) and got to know, and love each other, during a wonderful summer.
Our proposal happened in Porto, Portugal, on the top of the ‘Torre dos Clerigos' with view over the whole town.
Our wedding in three words? A romantic, unique and funny, beach wedding.
Our Favourite Moments
Our favourite details were the entrance by horse, our mix of Italian, Spanish and modern music and the party-atmosphere created by our guests.
The Ceremony
We had personalised marriage vows, and chose Ellie Goulding, Burn as the final song for the ceremony, as it reminds us of when we first met.
The Photography
We chose Elias Kordelakos as soon as we saw his homepage. He took amazing shoots of all the emotions we experienced that day.
The Flowers
As flowers, we chose pieris, lambs' ear, snapdragon, dahlias, ranunculus, Veronicas, astilbe, David Austin English roses, wax flower, freesia, eustoma lisianthus, hydrangeas and peonies.
The Decor & Details
The style we went for was a mix of beachy and boho, with a colour palette that was peach, orange, green and white.
We chose the venue because it was located directly on the beach, and the natural style and colours of the space matched our ideas.
As ceremony decor we had a wedding arch and floral aisle runner.
At the reception, we had long tables set with peach and white flowers in full bloom, accented with tall white candles, and Mr & Mrs chair decorations.
Our wedding favours were fans and Gummy Bear sweets.
The Honeymoon
For our honeymoon, we went island hopping in Greece, Santorini, Ios and Mykonos.
