I'm absolutely thrilled to be able to share this enchanting inspiration shoot with you today! It was dreamt up by a talented team of UK wedding professionals who have provided us with a {vintage} key to a beautiful, secret garden. A garden bursting with beautiful imagery and creative ideas.

I adore the hanging bottles and keys, the miniature wedding cake and pastel coloured biscuits juxtaposed with the deep reds of the bouquet, and of course, the dress ~ I'm a sucker for a vintage inspired lace wedding dress!

The other half of this photoshoot is being featured on the fabulous Whimsical Wonderland Weddings blog so hop on over there once you've seen all the loveliness here.

Wedding planner Andri of Always Andri Wedding Design shares more about the shoot:

At the start of the year Fiona of Fiona Kelly Photography put a shout out on Twitter that she wanted to do an inspirational photo shoot and would anyone be interested in getting involved. Having known Fiona for a while now, (we’re neighbours) I thought it would be a great chance to finally work together. Other fab suppliers who agreed to get involved were florist Steph Turpin from Fairy Nuff Flowers, Sangeeta & Olivier from jewellery and accessories company Olivier Laudus , Sarah Dickenson for Hair & Makeup and as our model Terri, from The Bride Fairy.

The Theme:

With these key suppliers in place we needed to decide on a theme, we already knew we wanted to have an outdoor location and Fiona thought a Secret Garden theme would be a good one to work on, so I put together some mood boards which, with Fiona’s inspiration images, we ran by the team and they loved. The next step was to find the ideal location and what would Terri wear?

The Location:

As a wedding planner you get to see and hear about some great venues so I was lucky in that I already knew about the fabulous Walled Garden at Cowdray with its beautifully designed gardens and perfect ‘secret garden’ door. Once the venue was on board I set about looking for dresses. From the beginning Fiona had said she didn’t want a typical wedding dress so when I found Sally Lacock and her beautiful ethereal vintage inspired dresses I knew we had struck gold.

The Cakes:

On the day we were also joined by Andrea from Cake by Sugar who, as well as the lovely miniature wedding cake and cookies, brought along some scrummy mini cupcakes for us to eat and Charlie Davis who sourced us the lovely frames and mirrors from Dodo Vintage and helped me style the shoot.

The Dress, The Flowers and The Details:

The lovely wedding dress ‘May’, is inspired by 1940s styling and made from beautiful lightly corded French leavers lace, was perfectly complemented by Steph’s flowers of pink Peonies, Hydrangeas, dark red Dahlias, Sweet Williams and Grape Hyacinth. I love the idea of hanging frames and flower filled bottles, an idea you can easily incorporate into your wedding day such as for a photo booth backdrop, so it was great that we were able to hang lots of little bottles and keys to the gazebo-it was a particularly windy day though so they are flying around a lot!

At the end of the day the whole team was really pleased with the way the shoot turned out and Fiona’s beautiful photography perfectly captured the stunning venue and all the great ideas, products and talents of all involved. I also hope some of the lovely details will help inspire all those brides out there planning their weddings.
