And today, we’re showing you even more beautiful wedding dresses, but this time, we’re going backstage.
Parisian designer, Rime Arodaky held her runway show in Manhattan last week, to unveil a stylish collection of modern gowns and cool bridal separates.
And while we were rather forlorn that we couldn’t be there in person to take in the candlelit catwalk, we’re so glad to be sharing all the behind-the-scenes action captured by the terrifically talented, Greg Finck.
While fashion collections vary wildly for the seasons, often in bridal, the differences are more subtle. But Rime Arodaky’s Fall Winter offering is certainly a salute to the seasons in question.
Autumnal layering sees lighter textures and lots of separates, white wintery sparkle gets a nod with glamorous tuxedo jackets and accessories that look as if they’ve been cut straight from the ice. (Though backless styles and crop tops make this a fun collection for summer brides too.)
Even the shimmering gold and silver make-up ranged in tones from falling leaves to winter snow, while the backdrop, Canoe Studios (a popular venue this season) was adorned with chiffon and candles, while the sun streamed in, creating a cosy, trans-seasonal feel.
A collection that’s edgy and innovative, yet with some classics in there as well, Rime Arodaky has shown us once again why she’s a go-to designer for fashion brides.
Such a cool collection, right? I love how she’s mixed in the lace detailing, with more minimal designs – such a gorgeous way to get the best of both for your wedding dress.
