We’ve been completely charmed by Laure de Sagazan’s latest short, flirty and totally luxe 2018 Civil Collection! These dresses are here to free us all from the length of traditional gowns, and just in time for the return of the sunshine.

Who wouldn’t fall absolutely in love with her intricate details (like luxurious, embroidered, silk velvet!) and relaxed silhouettes? I’m afraid I’m smitten with these chic bridal dreams – and so is Claire!

This 6-piece collection is for the bride who wants to keep things simple but make an elegant statement. Meet your partner at city hall (or mairie for our French babes!) in one of these styles. Then, you’re readily dressed for an impromptu photo shoot in a local cafe just after you say “Je le veux !” I imagine these pieces as an ideal pairing for your rehearsal dinner, bachelorette soiree, luxe honeymoon, wild after party, or anyplace you want to look charming and chic.

The dresses' incredible versatility lives on long after the fête. Paired with a tailored, belted trench or sexy, white blazer your wedding dress becomes a luxe focal piece of your wardrobe.

What stood out from our private showing with Laure (apart from the fabulous cappuccinos and sweet madeleines) was how incredibly luxurious these short and flirty dresses are – from the luxe vintage-inspired laces right down to the carefully considered buttons. Not often, when we find civil collections, are the gowns crafted so masterfully, with such expensive fabrics and attention to detail.

Short wedding dresses can seem over-casual at times, leaving brides without many upscale, couture options. But if you’re a bride choosing a short wedding dress (hello flattering length for shorter ladies!) Laure’s latest Civil Collection offers all the couture care and intricate details of her luxurious, long gowns.

Two long sleeved shift wedding dresses stole our hearts. A silk ditty, sporting sweet scalloped lace peeking out above the hem could be perfect for a summer bride looking for sleeves but wanting to stay cool. Winter ladies will undoubtedly adore the luscious, velvet dress.

The Civil Collection was also designed with a companion capsule collection of fine jewelry. Together, the pieces are luxe, complementing incredible fabrics and design with 14 karat rose gold and diamonds. Just a little shimmer of stone on dainty chains, this jewelry is the sweetest minimalist statement that mirrors the essence of Laure’s signature style.

“In the same way that I approach designing dresses, I put my heart and soul into each design and aimed to create a collection of jewelry that breaks traditional molds, while still remaining elegant and alluring.”
