Who here is hopping on the lucite loving train? We most certainly are, and while we continue to pin and regram endless acrylic wedding ideas we were refreshed to find even more creative uses for the trending detail in this sophisticated, artistic and totally modern “float” wedding inspiration styled by Pop Parties.

We could talk about so many of the fresh ideas from this styled shoot, but it was the cake that caught our eye from the beginning – and not just because we have a relentless sweet tooth. Each layer of cake, and the tulips in between, seem to be floating thanks to acrylic boxes – making the four-tiered cake even taller, and even more luxe.

The floating theme appears on to the tablescape, where a very avant-garde floral sculpture swirls into the heavens of this gallery-esque room. Elevating the table further, the team selected lucite chairs beyond what you’ve seen in your IKEA catalog, a see-through wingback seat is our new favorite wedding chair!

A large open hole in a former artist’s home was the setting and inspiration for this dreamy styled shoot. We really wanted the florals to feel as it if was floating down from the clouds, and for all of the details to reflect the soft, but modern “float” feel.

The place settings featured acrylic menus which were actually floating in trays of water. Overlooking the long concrete pool area was the cake display. To continue the float design, we utilized clear acrylic boxes as dividers between the tiers and accented them with rolled, floating tulips.

The clear accents and tulle gown assisted the overall design to produce something light, modern, and dreamy, as if you were truly floating in the clouds. Our model‘s sharp jawline and distinct dark hair played as the perfect compliment to the monochromatic pallet.
