Happy end of 2018! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas yesterday and perhaps you're joining us today thanks to a little ring box under the tree? If so, congratulations! If you're like me, your first exciting order of business is: dress shopping! And to help start your search, we've rounded up the 10 best wedding dresses as seen on Bridal Musings this year.

This year provided so many fabulous trends fit to fill the fancy of just about any style of bride. We saw loads of sexy silhouettes with deep necklines, low backs and sheer paneling for the provocative bride. Princess brides were spoiled with a resurgence of bows, layers and layers of tulle & even a few pearls.

Cool brides had Meghan Markle to thank for bringing sleek, silk, minimalistic wedding dresses to the mainstream thanks to her Stella McCartney halter reception dress. And color made an even bigger statement in 2018, in the most whimsical & romantic form, showing even a more traditional bride may opt for subtle color.

So here are our 10 favorite wedding dresses as seen on Bridal Musings (in no particular order)…

1. A La Robe

I would be lying if I didn't share my own wedding dress as my favorite of the year (after all, it was my dream dress!) A La Robe – queen of bias-cut silk wedding gowns – designed my sleek, sexy, ultra-low back wedding dress, and I felt so effortlessly cool. More photos & stories on our big day in November to come – for now, you can look back at my Real Bride Diary.

2. Watters

The first of many colored wedding dresses to make this top 10 list, we went wild for this misty grey Watters gown the moment we saw it hit Bridal Fashion Week. Styled here in an upscale, whimsical Southern scene, we see how color isn't just for the edgy bride.

3. Laure de Lis

Romantic lace with flutter sleeves? Yes, please. This Laure de Lis wedding dress absolutely charmed us floating aside the cliffs of Mallorca.

4. Galia Lahav

Have you ever seen a more grand and luxurious ballgown? Galia Lahav created this absolutely regal wedding dress fit for Moroccan royalty.

5. J. Noelle Design

We're so happy to be living in the age of custom everything – giving brides of today the chance to create their true dream dress. J. Noelle Designs specializes in custom wedding dresses like this sparkling, beaded, long-sleeve wedding dress for her fashion blogger bride.

6. Grace Loves Lace

Coco, we love you! We want nothing more than to shimmy the night away in this boho, off-the-shoulder gown by the Australian designer Graces Love Lace.

7. Pronovias

By the sheer amount of “Who made this dress?!” emails we received following this Marbella Nights styled shoot, this sexy Pronovias gown absolutely makes our best of 2018 list. With the low back and long train, this gown gives any bride miles of length.

8. Musat

I found myself squealing “more ruffles” across the bridal fashion week runways this year, and a little piece of me died and went to heaven upon sight of this blush pink, high-low, Musat wedding dress.

9. Jenny Yoo

Two words: plaid organza. With clean lines, a flirty open back, and layers to twirl the night away this playful, full-skirted gown is one of the many reasons we love Jenny Yoo so much.

10. Mywony Bridal

It's actually quite difficult for us to pick just one Mywony Bridal wedding dress for our top 10 list (we indulge more on this stunning list) but Whitney, with her fluttering silk sleeves, and light misty color (an available in four other colors) has us dreaming of Icelandic elopements and romantic, cinematic wedding scenes.
