We love a groom unafraid prints and color (shout out to my own French dotted groom). In celebration of such, today we take a trip to Puglia to take inspiration from the olive groves of Italy – we give you the olive green groom & luxurious bride.
Elisabeth Van Lent, with her delicate, fine art appeal presents this stunning, light-filled Italian wedding inspiration. With Tuscany most often appearing as Italy’s favorite wedding destination (and who can argue its beauty?) Elisabeth and her talented team wanted to show off another region: Puglia. The boot of Italy so full of dreamy inspiration we can wholly understand why it’s taking off in the wedding & travel world.
So, why should you consider Puglia (or more properly, Apulia in Italian)? Iconic white homes called Trulli give Santorini’s cave houses a run for their money in background appeal. Rows of olive trees, grown & twisted for hundreds of years offer the perfect refuge for sunset portraits or dining alfresco. The heat of the south cultivates desert foliage like succulents, cactus & bougainvillea – offering a stunning scene of jade green & popping pink.
With all of this Italian beauty as their backdrop, the team of vendors put together a luxurious scene filled with couture fashion, Italian fare & finer details and even included a dreamy day-after-wedding shoot to inspire a bit of Apulian honeymoon envy.
