No doubt we swoon hard for ceremonies sitting afront wild vistas, dramatic mountains or crystal blue seas – but what if the natural dream scene isn’t an option? Gemma & Pascal’s villa venue Finca Santa Lucia not only offered a stylish reception by the pool but a stunning bougainvillea rich garden, peacocks, palm trees, a little chapel and plenty of Spanish charm. We can’t get enough of the colors, rich yellows of the villa walls, vibrant fuschia of the florals and decor, stunning aqua of the swimming pool.

Of course, this wedding ending properly with a wild midnight dip in the pool.

Our Love Story

In a digital world like today, naturally, we both met via an online dating platform and had our first date in a Thai restaurant in Duesseldorf. That is how our love story started.

After two and a half years, we decided to move together. It was a difficult moment when Pascal needed to move to Dubai a year later due to a professional assignment while Gemma stayed in Germany. In order to make the best out of the situation and to prove that Gemma was the love of his life, Pascal prepared to propose her at her first visit to Dubai.

On that day, Pascal reserved again a table in a Thai restaurant with a beautiful view to Burj Al Arab and asked Gemma if she could imagine spending the whole life with him. With this, the project “Wedding preparation” started and it was clear that we wanted to have something special.

The Destination & Planning

Everything was literally perfect. We chose Mallorca as a location as this allowed us to invite our closest family members and friends to a place where both Spanish and Germans feel at home. With Mallorca, good weather in June is guaranteed.

To have professional support to organize a wedding at Mallorca from Dubai and Duesseldorf, we decided to hire a wedding planner. Gemma was already very clear in her thoughts about how the wedding day should be and contributed with many ideas that she collected via Pinterest. When deciding on colors we felt that a vintage related style would match best to our taste in combination with the natural colors of Mallorca’s gardens. The decor was again matching the island’s venue & vintage flavor.

Favorite Moments

Every second of the wedding was amazing. We enjoyed every single moment from the preparation to the ceremony, the food and the party with our family and friends.

One of our favorite moments was definitely the beginning of the ceremony when Gemma walked through the blooming garden with all the décor while the band was singing.

The whole day was just perfect. But just as the beginning, the end of the day was also remarkable. Since we were all in favor of having a swim, the party ended with all of us jumping into the pool.

Our wedding agency helped us to get a shortlist of all the vendors. For the selection of the photographer, we got some suggestions and one of them was Sandra Manas. The pictures on her website and the way she is captures moments convinced us. She has the talent to take pictures in an elegant and romantic style.

We created our own website with all the necessary information for our guests like hotels close to the wedding location, dress code and agenda in both languages, Spanish and German.

The Honeymoon

We had an amazing honeymoon at a cruise from “Mein Schiff 6” visiting many locations in South America and the Caribbean. We had many stopovers like La Romana, Ocho Rios, Montego Bay, Cozumel, Belize City, Roatan, Puerto Limon, Colon, Cartagena, Santa Domingo with memorable moments.
