Romantic Ruffles; Beach Wedding Inspiration From Puglia

On the windswept Adriatic coast of Italy lies Puglia (or Apulia) – one of the up-and-coming wedding & honeymoon hotspots that has been beckoning us for a while.

Neutral tones filled with olive groves, yellowed grasses, sandy beaches & white Trullo homes make up a region of gorgeous colors akin to the Baja or American Southwest. Imagine whitewashed natural Masseria venues filled with bohemian decor, cacti & Italian delights.

This is what our masterful wedding team of the day had to work with when creating their atmospheric wedding inspiration. Complementing their beach location’s neutral tones with berbere inspiration & details, this wedding styled shoot is as dreamy as can be.

Our favorite part? Well aside from the horse (yes, I’m still a horsey girl) we’re dying for our bride’s couture-level ruffle dress & black jacket combo.

The atmosphere of this shoot was influenced by the passion for Berbère life, romantic far-off lands, beaches and deserts views. Desert tones for the colour palette mixed with deep green-blue for the stationary which adds a more dramatic effect. A sense of style and huge obsession for details, traditional jewels, and ethereal dresses.

For the decor, thin nacre and seashells on the table, rocks and plants in glass containers, candles, linen mixed with solid metallic textures and berber details, sand and wind shapes. We aimed to find new exotic moods for decoration, in natural elements. A dramatic set to capture the endless morning light to make it look dreamier. A piece of magic to evoke the quiet contemplation of the simple, nomadic, soft life behind the surface.
