Oh lovelies, how excited we are to share with you this gorgeous, modern take on Korean wedding traditions.

The team chose autumn colors for their florals (we’re living for these warm, Autumnal hues) but the stunning Korean silk hanboks chosen – four unique looks – could just as easily fit for Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer, in our eyes. We’re swooning for the light blue moment paired with traditional Korean wedding menswear & just as equally stunned by the more modern black bride’s look against our Korean groom’s gorgeous plaid suit.

Coming from an Asian background, I noticed that tea ceremonies and tradition was always designed to make the parents happy but not the couples. So I wanted to create a modern twist to a Korean wedding and tea ceremony but keeping the essence of the culture and history. Bringing in traditional Korean desserts and specialised calligraphy teacups with modern calligraphy invites and table names written in Korean bought both worlds together.

The best part of this shoot was the beautiful delicate silk hanboks with lace and embroidery touches. There’s just so much history in this world that we are missing out on and having the essence of a tradition for your day will add an extra element to your story from where you’ve come from. Not only do you make your parents happy but you will love your day more and I can promise you, you get to learn so much more about yourself and the history of your culture.

Create a pastel autumn eternal wedding using some dried preserved flowers of burnt orange and burgundy reds but add a fresh twist of pastel pinks and greens to brighten the look. Having these autumn colours will enhance the pastel colours you’re wearing and will make you stand out from the whole decor.
