“Small wedding, big vibes” was the note I got from our team when this gorgeous Chateau de Chantilly wedding inspiration arrived in our mailbox. Never has there been a time more fit to show how fancy even the smallest of weddings can be.

Domaine de Chantilly – one of the most incredible palace wedding venues we’ve seen to date – is a convenient 25-minute train ride from our beloved Paris. Offering all the opulent halls, regal vibes & immaculate grounds one would expect from a royal wedding, this inspiration shows how your venue choice can do literally everything to set the tone for your wedding day.

And in a time when small weddings & elopements are the only way to plan, we love seeing the evidence that even the most intimate affair can appear lavish & luxe if you want it to.

Closing out our 2021 Wedding Dress Month, this inspiration also treats us to two bridal fashion designers we have yet to feature on Bridal Musings! Both Tarik Ediz and Rara Avis gowns give that “Wow factor” that any modern princess bride would dream for.

Inspired by the movement and freshness of a summer breeze, this romantic wedding editorial took place in the historic Chateau de Chantilly, just a stone’s throw from Paris. Expertly planned by Luxury Secret Events, photographed by Elizaveta Photography and captured by filmmaker Cedrick Durand Film, this inspiration is perfect for a couple looking for opulent, modern ideas for their wedding.

The Chateau de Chantilly is an immense estate with sprawling gardens and one of the finest collections of paintings in Europe. We were delighted to have the chateau’s rooms just for us, including the cozy Maison de Sylvie for the couple’s first dance.

We love designer Rara Avis’ style and the modern adaptation of a classic silhouette, with shimmering details and delicate petals. The second dress, from Tarik Ediz, was light and flowing, moving perfectly during the couple’s waltz.

The beauty team of Joe Adrey and Widnie Alexis worked with the bride’s stunning features to give a natural makeup look with a sleek and modern style for short hair. While she was getting pampered, the bride wore a soft pink lace robe from So Helo that really reflected the romantic and playful feeling that we were going for.

The grandeur of the castle was matched by the stunning 1 meter (3 feet) tall floating cake from Sweet Creations Cakes, whose strong shapes were softened by rose gold accents and flowers.

More hints of rose gold and peach were scattered throughout Noha Design’s florals and tablescape. We wanted the design to match the opulence of the castle, while giving it a contemporary twist. Custom-scented candles from L’Odoristerie, with a hidden “I love you” message inside, complemented the stationary by Dilani Schipper Calligraphy.

The couple celebrated their love at the Temple of Venus on the castle grounds with enchanting music by Ivana String Quartet and Groupe Limyea gospel choir. They then sped away in their vintage car from Atypic Excalibur.
