We’re not short of Parisian elopement inspiration on Bridal Musings, and there’s a reason for that.
In a time when more couples are choosing to elope than ever, Paris is perfect. Having lived many summers in the City of Light, I believe there’s no city more apt for romance. No city is more filled with beautiful backdrops for your wedding photos. No city is more ready to wine & dine you as you celebrate your love.
While we’ve shown many versions of the Parisian elopement in the past, we wanted to share this simply chic inspiration photographed by Elizaveta Photography. A clean & modern Alina Marti Paris wedding gown, mod accessories, glamorous hair & killer black pumps absolutely say “Paris” to me. The look is understated and effortless, the quintessential French bride.
More than photos, hair and make-up artist Alesia Solo is sharing how to pull off their old-world glam look in the tips below…
Tip 1: Start off with the right dress
To pull off this look, Alesia recommends pairing it with a bold, fashion-forward dress, like the one that our model Anna is wearing. It channels old Hollywood vixens with form-fitting gowns and impossibly long legs. When showing off loose, wavy hair, your dress should ideally have a simple back and an open neck and shoulders.
Tip 2: Choose two styles
While long waves look stunning on any bride, it’s important to think about the entire day, especially the weather! Rain (even a little drizzle), wind, and humidity can all take a rough toll on your gorgeous hair, so having a backup hairstyle is key. You can even choose to wear both hairstyles, one after the other if you’re really set on long, loose waves but you know that they won’t last the entire day.
Tip 3: Dramatic eyes
For this editorial, Alesia brought the focus on Anna’s beautiful eyes. She recommends pairing bold eye makeup with a more subtle lip, to keep an overall harmony in your beauty look.
