Happy Monday!

Avril and Cam‘s gorgeous Vancouver wedding was pink, grey and chic all over.

Prepare to fall head over (nude peep toe) heels for the floral printed ‘getting robes' robes, the soft, romantic blooms in neutral hues, the giant, fringed balloon backdrop, the ombre pink bridesmaids dresses, the sharp grey suits and the bride's strapless lace wedding dress with ruffled hem.

Oh and get those pinning fingers ready as these beautiful photos by Christie Graham Photography are a dream come true!

The Colour Palette

I hunted around for bridesmaid dresses in different shades of pink to add to the eclectic feel. All the groomsmen wore grey suits in different shades. I was nervous it may look a little too mismatched, but the day of, I loved it!  I had always envisioned being married outside and I loved how the reception area complimented my colour scheme, pink, cream and gold.

The Photography

I already love looking back on all the beautiful photos and moments that our photographer,  Christie Graham, was able to capture.

The Venue

When we got engaged, I knew right away I wanted a romantic, soft, eclectic yet classic feel to our wedding, but I didn't know where to begin. Cam took the lead and started venue hunting. We were leaving within months for Europe, for Cam's hockey season, and we needed a venue booked before our departure. When we saw the University Golf Club, we knew right away we had found our venue for the reception and ceremony.

Decor & Details

I put a lot of thought into the small details. I collected mercury glass vases and votives for each table. I actually brought back almost half of the vases from Denmark. I found an antique frame which we used for the seating chart. I collected cake plates for the dessert table and hand made the fringe for the balloons that sat behind the dessert table. I spent way too long looking for a backdrop for our photo booth and designing the logo on the photo strips guests received.

Favourite Memories

em>I thought Cam looked so handsome that day, my custom made dress fit like a glove, the sun came out, from behind the clouds, as I was about to walk down the aisle and I loved forgoing the head table and sitting amongst our friends and family during our reception.

Everything really came together in the end. I couldn't have done it without my mom and sister who were so helpful during the planning process and really eased the stress of planning the wedding from afar!

Congratulations Avril and Cam!

Isn't their colour palette perfect?!
