How nice is it to have an afternoon to put your feet up and make a date with some of your favourite blogs?
We’ve got plenty for you to catch up with from us this week, whether you’re looking to be inspired for your own impending nuptials, or simply someone swooning over big dresses and small details.
We had heaps of inspiration from a pair of quirky couples on the blog this week, with Carrie and Trevor’s sweet trailer park wedding and Niki and Louis’ fun photobooth engagement shoot. We fell hard for chic weddings steeped in romantic features, with a destination wedding in Croatia, and a DIY wedding in Idaho.
And if real-life loved-up twosomes aren’t enough to inspire, there were plenty more treats among our offering over the past few days; be schooled in DIY calligraphy for your wedding, be wooed by these stunning wedding dresses, be beautified with some sweet wedding nail art or be torn between these 20 unique ceremony backdrops. We love them all!
And if all of that still doesn’t provide eye-candy you’re after, this gorgeous wedding inspiration board from our resident colour connoisseur, Rose of Rose and Ruby Paper Co. surely will.
Fresh, breezy mints meet warm, opulent golds for a look that’s dewy, luxurious, and oh-so-pretty.
Over to you Rose…
Gold Sparkle & Palest Mint Inspiration Board
Elegant gold glittery textures, old English white roses and a hint of palest mint makes for such a pretty combination.
For me, this palette is all about the little WOW details. A delightful space, interesting textures and standout accessories.

• Natural accents really work with this palette. Wood and natural linens are all perfect against a bit of gold sparkle. The contrast of natural and opulent is beautiful too – straw bales for seating with chandelier lighting, or a dramatic and grand candlelit dinner set up in a barn.
• The setting for this look is important so if your space isn’t feeling very inspiring, drapes can instantly transform – inside or outside, a great space can be made even more special by dressing it up.
• The softness of this palette is the perfect backdrop for black tie. Everyone looks fabulous dressed up. And this theme was made for a sparkler send off! Great for photos and such a memorable moment.

So fabulous. How gorgeous does creating a black tie ballroom in a barn sound?
