It's the newest wedding trend to explode on Pinterest, and we're unapologetically obsessed.

Temporary tattoos for your wedding.

Yep, seriously.

There is a wave of online sellers and Etsy designers creating cool bespoke and novelty tatts that are perfect for weddings. Couples and guests are getting in on the action for a fun way to put a stamp (literally!) on their day.

Kind of like the way fun glow sticks, cool festival wrist bands, or even classic button holes work as a nice way to make guests feel like they're “in the gang” and part of the party.  And features like photo booths and lawn games, add an ice-breaking, activity element to a wedding. Creating a pop-up tattoo parlour, or distributing tatts as favours for your guests, does both; bringing your guests together in a fun, novel way.

And they're stylish too.

There are lots of gorgeous temporary tatts available these days, from pretty pictures to chic graphics, they're becoming as creative and cool as the real thing.

Tattly have a collection of gorgeous wedding designs, Pepper Ink do retro anchor and love heart sets, Wakhtarrr creates cute custom face tattoos, Daydream Prints make pretty bridal inkings, and Kristen McGillivray designs sweet personalised pictures and graphics.

Oh and for something really special, look to sites like Flash Tattoo for metallic, jewellery-inspired creations that would look sublime on any bohemian bride.

So, who needs a photobooth, when you've got a tattoo booth instead?

A budget-friendly favour, and an easy way to personalise your wedding, all you need are lots of tatts, (pick some designs that are personal to you and your partner), add some easy instructions, plus a little water, and you're good to go.

So cool, right?

I love the idea of everyone from kids to grandparents, tatting up during cocktail hour! This would also be a fab idea for a couple who already have a lot of tattoos and want their guests to join them for one day only.
