Unique & Exotic Jungle Wedding Inspiration

Jungle Wedding Inspiration from Knot & Pop 6

Usually, we feature weddings filled with the happy faces of loved up couples and swoon over their stylish threads but today, we’re featuring something a little different. An exotic, greenery filled real wedding set-up so creative and unique we couldn’t resist sharing – mainly because it demonstrates that there are no rules or limits when it comes to wedding design and decor. You and your love can go wild, incorporating the things that inspire you, connect you or simply make you smile.

This ‘Jazz in the Jungle at Night’ concept was dreamt up by UK based wedding planners and stylists, Knot & Pop, to showcase their couple’s love of foliage,  jazz and the abstract artwork of Kandinsky! How cool (and wonderfully eclectic) is that?!

From The Planners, Knot & Pop…

We love when a couple really dares to do things differently and from the get go our couple wanted to go against the grain to have a really imaginative and memorable day.

With them wanting to focus on foliage, rather than having things too overtly floral, we focussed the concept on Jungle, combined with their love of Jazz the design fused together to form a Jazz In The Jungle wedding…

Mixing organic lush green foliage with hints of vibrant, fluid florals, jazz in the jungle immediately engaged the senses.

The colour palette was inspired by bright jungle greens and vibrant colours, as found in tropical climes. The hot cayenne colour and vivid yellow added a pop as it contrasted with blue, softened by softer pink and white tones. This palette worked against a base palette of black, with this forming the table canvas for an ‘at night’ dining feel.

Unique Design Elements

Drawing inspiration from the couples love of Kandinsky, abstract shapes formed the base of stationery suite designs and décor elements – pulling on the planetary and ‘at night’ feel with celestial prints and shapes.

Marble prints appeared across statement table runners and coasters, along with appearing as the base print across the stationery suite.

We introduced a title font that drew on this aspect with an artist commissioned to create a bespoke font that used a mix of shapes, and stationery suite, that was then animated for the save the date. This hero font was then used across all on the day aspects, including the bespoke signage. The shapes then reappeared as custom made table numbers – from planetary circles to crescent moons and more.

Foliage was key in creating this jungle setting – lots of hanging vines, overhead garlands and statement backdrops for lounge areas and top table were designed. A foliage huppah and aisle greenery set the scene for the ceremony, and jungle setting to come at reception venue.

Alternative Evening Entertainment

Rather than the expected dancing after dinner, the couple wanted a more relaxed evening so we created a jazz lounge with all manner of entertainment acts – having enjoyed a balloon artist and face painter on the boat drinks reception, guests were then treated to a roaming magician and artist through dinner, with a jungle juggler and a whisky bar to mirror the groom’s Scottish heritage, opening up after the jungle feast. A photo booth, jazz band and LED light dance finale act completed the entertainment aspects.

Bringing in their love of food, and art, the caterer was briefed to be creative with presentation to mirror Kandinsky artwork and give guests more of an immersive experience.

Upon entering the reception venue, tables were set with sharing platter starters, set onto jungle leafs, and bamboo/palm leaf plates, with palm leaf plates placed on each guest setting. And later guests were served planetary cake pops on a jungle sweets trolley.

The couple ended their evening with a speed boat down the Thames as their guests cheered and waved them off on their honeymoon.
