So you know I have a penchant for all things vintage, retro and chic.

(I actually did a vintage pin up boudoir shoot before our wedding!  Yes, I kept that one quiet didn't I?)

Anyway, suffice to say I love pin up style and Sally, the beautiful brunette in these engagement photos, does victory rolls and red lippie to perfection! She is such a vintage beauty while navy pilot, Justin, looks suitably debonair with his slicked back hair and leather jacket. The Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California was the perfect backdrop for their aviator themed engagement shoot.

Sally shares a little more about the inspiration behind their shoot:

The inspiration for our shoot was all from my husband.  He has been a fan of vintage pin up for years and wanted a classic look for the engagement shoot.  He is a Navy Pilot in real life and I loved the idea of recreating an old war love story.

I immediately got into the idea of the theme and found a vintage dress in a local shop here in San Diego and my hair and makeup were done at Flawless Faces Skincare Lounge in Orange County.  The owner Carina Lindgren and her hair team transformed me into a vintage pin up gal, and my husband was blown away.

My husband chose the Chino Air Museum after much research about the specific planes he wanted in the shots and then David Champagne put the romance in the film.  It was a magical day, followed a few months later by a magical wedding.  We are about to celebrate our one year anniversary and we look back on that vintage photo shoot as our own great love story.

Don't you just love the tongue in cheek vintage poses? Such a fun, retro chic and unique shoot!

Congratulations to Sally and Justin on their upcoming wedding anniversary and many thanks to David Champagne Photography for sharing these gorgeous images with us.
