Blackberries bring back childhood memories of wandering along winding roads through the English countryside, ending up with a face covered in the darkest red juice and a tummy full of blackberries that didn't quite make it into the basket…

The perfect inspiration for rustic, outdoorsy weddings.

Blackberries are such a lovely looking fruit, all bobbly and shiny ~ not to mention delicious. They're great for ‘wedding pies' {the rustic wedding cake option}. Or how about a whole table full of home baked pies as contributed by the guests?! They're pretty on top of cupcakes, at the bottom of champagne flutes or strung atop glasses of bubbly beverages.

Blueberries and black grapes {blackberries' less exciting cousins} work well with this dark mysterious and juicy colour palette. And as for favours, I was thinking rustic brown bags filled with wildflower seeds…blackberry seeds perhaps?

Blackberries are the perfect addition to add interest, texture and a sumptuous touch to wild flower bouquets. I even stumbled upon a unique bouquet of succulents and un-ripened blackberries ~ there's something so delicate and beautiful about it don't you think?

What a sweet, nature and fun-loving couple! The more I look at that blackberry bouquet, the more I adore it! What do you think? Do you prefer flowers?
